General & Laparoscopic Surgery


General Surgery is a wing in Q1 Hospital that focuses on abdominal contents including esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix, bile ducts and the thyroid gland. The commonly dealt diseases involving the skin, soft tissue, trauma, hernias.
Laparoscopic Surgery in a minimally invasive specialized technique of performing surgery. Most commonly it is used for Bariatric, Gynecologic, Intestinal and Gall Bladder surgeries. Incision is called as a port at which tubular instruments known as trochar is inserted during the procedure.
Laparoscopic Surgeries underwent patients experience less pain, a shorter recovery, and less scarring. Common Intestinal Surgeries performed using Laparoscopic technique are Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, cancer, rectal prolapse and severe constipation.
